Okay, I know this has become a Sufjan Appreciation Blog lately, but bear with me. This song is about a serial killer. It’s haunting and creepy as hell and absolutely, understatedly, painfully gorgeous. The octave jump on “oh my God” always gives me chills, and so does the way his voice goes a little off on “quiet hands” and those last two lines and the breaths that come after them and ughhh. Genius.
